Blackstorm are a five piece rock band hailing from Brighton, UK.

We’re not talking about Bon Jovi style hair rock here, we’re talking about the heaviest rock music; drawing together elements of drone, stoner, down-tuned sludge with classic rock and the vitality of hardcore and punk.

Having met in late ’06 the then four piece quickly realized that they had met musical kindred spirits in each other, and immediately started exchanging ideas.

The band have honed their songwriting craft, focusing on constructing tunes using the cornerstones of great heavy music- crushing catchy-as-hell riffs, juggernaut proportioned rhythmic grooves and killer hook laden vocals. Blackstorm is a throwback to a time when music was created intuitively and bands were bands - no fashion show, no drama, just good music.

Fast forward to the beginning of 2010 and Blackstorm have played shows with the likes of Cancer Bats, Kruger, Johnny Truant, Burning Love and Orange Goblin, recorded half a dozen killer songs, and expanded their line up to include guitarist Tom Bates.

Blackstorm aren’t re-inventing the wheel and wouldn’t claim to be, but make no mistake, they have fitted some damn fine chrome hubcaps and are hell bent on keeping the wheels of rock turning.

The band features current/ former members of earthtone9, Twin Zero, The Ghost Of A Thousand, This Is Menace, Fall Of Efrafa and Skulldozer.
